New Law for Drop-side Cribs

Effective October 28th, 2010, NYS enacted a new law that bans the sale of all drop- side cribs. Drop-side cribs have plastic hardware that can break, deform, or parts can become missing. The Consumer Product Safety Commission urges parents and caregivers to immediately stop using all recalled cribs. A list of recalled cribs is posted here. If you have a recalled crib, we urge you to get in touch with the manufacturer who will supply you with a free repair kit. There is also a guide for parents and caregivers here.

Here is a new question and answer page regarding crib safety! Click here.
