Business Leaders Work Group
Are today’s children prepared to become tomorrow’s business leaders?
They need to be, for the sake of the economy in the Finger Lakes region. High-quality child care and early education play vital roles in ensuring our young people are prepared for the global economy.
Child Care Council recently launched a critical effort to enhance early education and child care in the region and to create ways to sustain the child care industry as a valuable, competitive resource. The work group also is analyzing the current child care industry to sustain this valuable resource for the future – including identifying innovative ways to improve operating and business plans and to increase the number of accredited child care programs.
The Council launched this initiative in 2014 by holding the first Business Leaders Summit. As shown in the video below, summit keynote speaker Bill Millett delivered a powerful message about the importance of early care and education to many of the region’s business and civic leaders.
