As an Assistant Teacher, your dedication to program development and exceptional ability to communicate, guide and work with children offers invaluable support to the teacher, making you an invaluable resource.

STATUS: Full-time

SCHEDULE:  Monday-Friday


One (1) year of work experience with small children
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Demonstrated patience and compassion

Guidance & Relationship Building- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all of the children and their families; effectively guide the children’s behavior in an age appropriate manner; meet the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children
Development-Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children while fostering an environment that supports their growth
Safety & Oversight- Ensure the safety of the children and promote healthy habits; work with colleagues and community representatives to support children and families

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Medium Work  Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
