Reneé Scholz

Reneé Scholz joined the Council in 1998 as a referral specialist and currently serves as director of Family and Employer Services. Through her years at the Council, she has performed a variety of duties and holds different training certificates including NYS Early Learning Trainer Credential; NYS Health and Safety Trainer; NYS SACC Credential Trainer; Eco-Healthy Trainer; and Mind in the Making Trainer.
Scholz works to strengthen agency partnerships, including those with Strengthening Working Families Initiative, a partnership with Rochester Rehabilitation Services; Health Careers Program, a partnership with Action for a Better Community; Child Care Aware @ America-Little Children; Big Challenges; Vroom Brain Building Initiative and Vroom Business Cohort Partnership.
Prior to joining the Council, she worked at Threshold Center for Youth, providing counseling, education and case management services for adolescents both on site and in Rochester City Schools. She also worked for the Webster School District as a paraprofessional, supporting students with diverse needs and classroom teachers.
Scholz earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from SUNY Brockport. She has always wanted to help make a difference in the lives of youth and families. She is a wife, mother of two grown children and a lover of animals and nature. She is enthusiastic about the health and well-being of people, human rights and about alleviating the environmental impacts on quality of life.
