Creative Environment Children’s Learning Center is a licensed childcare center, providing full day childcare service to Infants, Toddlers, Pre-School and School-Age children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. CECLC is recognized throughout the community for its high standards of childcare. Employees and management regularly attend specific early childhood workshops to enhance their knowledge and skills that will, in turn, benefit the children being served.
The Executive Director of CECLC is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of the corporation. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· The development and implementation of the operating budget in collaboration with the current Bookkeeper and the current Treasurer
· The development and promotion of a quality childcare program in accordance to all NYS regulations
· The development and maintenance of appropriate civic relationships
· The maintenance of positive relationships with parents
· Serve as employee representative to the Board of Directors
Education
I. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with one year full-time teaching experience and one year supervisory experience; OR
II. New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year full-time teaching experience and one year supervisory experience; OR
III. Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a plan of study leading to a: Bachelor’s degree or NYS Program Administrator’s Credential and two years full-time teaching and two years supervisory experience; OR
IV. Child Development Associate credential with a plan of study leading to a : Bachelor’s degree or NYS Program Administrator’s Credential and two years full-time teaching and two years supervisory experience.
Additional Expectations
I. Proven experience successfully operating a childcare center preferred
II. Demonstrated experience working with a variety of children in childcare and/or educational settings;
III. Knowledge and experience relating to children and families;
IV. Knowledge and experience relating to childcare and/or educational programs including NYS Regulations;
V. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
