Teaching Staff, Lead or Assistant Teacher – Full-time

Faith Child Care and Nursery School is an early learning/care program for children from 8 weeks – 12 years of age and has been providing full-day programming for over 30 years. It provides a high quality developmentally appropriate program based on national accreditation standards. Our programs hours are 7 – 5:30, Monday through Friday. Potential candidates should possess the following qualifications:

·         Able to reliably work Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

·         Positive, caring, patient manner

·         Exhibit Christian values to children

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to collaborate with team members to develop program activities and complete individual child assessment and reports

·         Physical stamina and ability to regularly lift or carry children

Lead Teacher Requirements:

·         Associates degree or higher in early childhood education or

·         A valid CDA or

·         an associate degree or higher in a related field with at least 9 college credits in early childhood or child development

Assistant Teacher Requirements:

·         At least 18 years old

·         At least one year experience working with children less than 13 years of age

·         College coursework in early childhood or child development a plus

All candidates will be required to complete a sworn statement indicating whether they have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony, be cleared through the NYS Central Registry regarding any history of child abuse or neglect, provide proof of a current physical, be fingerprinted and have at least two reference checks.
