Current Positions:

Webster – Infant Teacher

Webster – Toddler Teacher

Webster – Float Teacher

Brighton – Toddler Teachers

Brighton – PT Afternoon Teacher – 3:00 to 6:00

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing lesson plans for the children on a daily basis.

Preparing creative activities that the children can participate in.

Preparing games and outdoor activities the children can engage in.

Monitoring the children’s progress and development.

Preparing reports on the children’s development.

Discussing the children’s progress with other teachers and parents.

Providing nutritious lunches and snacks.

Developing activities and teaching programs that are culturally appropriate.

Supervising and caring for the children.

Establishing routines and discipline.

Reading books and promoting literacy all around the room to the children.

Attending to basic needs of the children and teaching proper hygiene.

Developing strong relationships with children and their families.

Adapting lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the interest and needs of the children.

Qualifications:

BS OR AAS in Education or Child Development Associate (CDA) desired in Infants and Toddlers

No degree required for part time positions

Minimum of one year of classroom experience required.

Passion and understanding of early childhood development

Upon hire, must pass criminal and child abuse background checks required.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Additional Part Time Opportunities

Mon thru Fri — 3:00 to 6:00 — work with toddlers and school age

Mon thru Fri — 12:00 to 6:00 — work with infants

Perfect for a college or high school student with morning classes.

Must be 18 years old, high school diploma complete or in progress, some childcare experience preferred.

About Interviews

Employment candidates will be expected to complete an employment application and spend approximately one hour in the preschool classroom. Please allow for a total of two hours for the interview process. During their time in the classroom, candidates are expected to interact with children and inquire about policies and procedures.

About Kids First Childcare, Inc.

We have one center located at 1676 Empire Blvd,Webster NY14580 and one center located at 1101 Clover St, Rochester NY 14610 (Brighton).

Ten paid holidays per year.

Full time employees are eligible for paid personal/sick and vacation days and a 401K retirement plan.
