We will discuss all the steps required to obtain a NYS Child Care Registration/License, review the child care application, and discuss how to prepare your family and home for this new business venture.

Asthma Attack and Severe Allergic Reaction

In order to meet the requirements for the Emergency Medication Waiver, the registered nurses are offering this training. These sessions will provide preparation for recognition and emergency response by the child’s caregivers. The focus will be hands-on training and scenarios to ensure that providers are able to competently manage asthma attacks and severe allergic reactions in their programs.

Nutrition Concepts Explored: Beyond CACFP

Discover the connection between Dietary Guidelines for Americans, My Pyramid, and Nutrition Facts Labels. This class will provide in-depth instruction on reading Nutrition Facts labels with plenty of hands-on practice to determine if foods meet Dietary Guideline recommendations. In addition, explore the role of Vitamins, Minerals, and Fiber as they contribute to the health and wellness of children and their providers. This class is strongly recommended for Providers who have been in CACFP for 7 years or more.
