CACFP NY
Child Care Council is committed to helping ensure that children have access to healthy food while in child care and at home. We offer three different adult care & child care food programs to achieve this goal:
Child and Adult Care Food Program
A federally funded child nutrition program that offers a monthly reimbursement to providers for serving nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care.
Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings
Council staff train center-based child care providers on how to provide hands-on nutrition lessons to pre-school age children and their parents.
Farm to Preschool
The Council operates farmers markets at child care centers in Rochester and Buffalo to give lower-income families greater access to locally grown fruits and vegetables.
Our child care food programs not only assist providers in serving nutritious meals but also strive to enhance the overall well-being and future success of the children in our care. With these valuable CACFP NY resources, we are committed to fostering a healthier and brighter future for the children in our community.
