Raising Healthy Children

A free community discussion with Dr. Philip Landrigan, director of the Children’s Environmental Health Center, chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine and dean for Global Health at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.

The rate of childhood diseases—such as autism, allergies, asthma, ADHD, learning disabilities, childhood cancer, diabetes, and obesity—is increasing. Scientific research suggests that chemicals found in our homes, schools, and communities may play a role in this upward trend. Learn how these chemicals affect our children’s health and the practical steps parents can take to prevent environmental exposures in our children’s everyday lives.
